I like this joke.
I got the joke. It was a good one, and I told it to my wife.
I am Japanese-American, (and more offended by the term "Jap" than by the word Damn.
The joke does not use the term "Jap," but it is used often on the forum. I've got thick skin. I'll live.)
Some others thought the joke was okay because "it is only a joke." That's a load of manure.
Jokes, funny or not, that cross the line are not okay just because they are jokes.
Racism is not funny or amusing, or excusable because "I hate everybody."
Stupidity, hate and bigotry can't be excused so easily. Racist jokes help create the atmosphere
that such things are not only acceptable, they are amusing. Some fool takes it one step further,
or some kid takes it as gospel, and this is the kind of embarrasing society you get.
This joke is not racist. And it is funny. We need more jokes like this one.
That is why it is okay.
